The scoop
DaVinci Resolve is a full editing, color grading, effects and audio app, and the free version is very generous. It works with most 8-bit formats at up to 60fps in resolutions up to Ultra HD 3840 x 2160, and includes multi-user collaboration and HDR grading.
The paid DaVinci Resolve Studio adds AI tools, extra effects, noise reduction and higher frame rates and bit depths. Most creators never need it.
